Toilet Paper Wedding Dress

Who knew you could make a nice looking wedding dress out of toilet paper?  Cheap-Chick-Weddings.com has been holding contests were contestants make wedding dresses out of toilet paper for the last few years.  In the picture above you can see the winner for 2010.  They’ve got plenty more images from the same contest and previous years.  Amazing…

Let’s Get Back on the Toilet!

Toilet Lady

Video Taped on the Toilet!

I’ve really neglected this blog recently, and the tone has been way too serious.  I realize I must get back to the subject of toilets, reading on the toilet, and toilet talk…or at least things that you might be interested in while sitting on the toilet.  I’m going to start now, and hope to do better in the future.

So what’s with the sad girl above?  Well, apparently she was video taped while using the toilet.  That’s not nice.  But neither is drunk driving, asstard!  If you drive drunk, expect to get video taped while you’re on the toilet.  The end.

Interested in more toilet news?  I thought so.  The Vancouver Sun has a report about a toilet lid killer who is going to try to claim self defense.  That’s not so funny.  The Wall Street Journal blog has a story about a company that expects to sell toilet paper online.  And in South Africa, they apparently need to make the walls surrounding toilets bulletproof, otherwise you may get shot when you’re on the pooper!  In this article, a lady was rightfully pretty pissed that she was unable to use the public toilet.

So there it is, your toilet news for today.  Check back soon for much more toilet talk!

The Internet Cesspool

Sorry for the lack of posts recently…I’ve been busy.  But here’s an entertaining video on the cesspool the internet has become (contains cursing). Enjoy:

Cool Self Defense Site & eBook

Self Defense eBook

I’ve been into martial arts for a while, and found a great site a few months ago on self defense.  Yesterday I noticed the guy had published a new self defense ebook, and ordered it.  The book is awesome, so if anyone is interested in self defense or martial arts I’d highly recommend it.  It’s great from a mixed martial arts perspective, as it covers a lot of MMA training as a base, but then goes into specific techniques you can add for self defense.  Plus, the guy has a post on the palm stick where he mentions how awesome the Surefire LX2 is, which I blogged about the other day:)

Super Bowl Dance 2010

A good friend of mine, Matt Rinard, just sent me the following terrific video:

Secure Your Email and Files

CNN has an article on how the US enabled the recent Chinese hacking of Gmail via a backdoor created for US government searches.  So how can you protect your email from hackers, corporations, and governments?  Easy.  Encrypt it.  Here’s how to do it for free:

- Download Mozilla’s Thunderbird and use it as your email client.  It works on Windows and Mac machines.

- Click Here to install GNU Privacy Guard on your computer, open source PGP software. The will allow you to encrypt and decrypt messages.  (You can find the Mac version here.)

- Download the Enigmail extension for Thunderbird. In Thunderbird click Tools, Addons, Install, and then browse to wherever you downloaded the Enigmail file to, to install it.  (Mac version here.)

- Once it’s installed, you’ll see an OpenPGP button in Thunderbird. Choose Key Management, and Generate a New Key Pair. Choose the email address you want to use the key for, and make up a good password with difficult letters, numbers, and characters.

- When you’re done, right click your key and email it (only the “public” half will be emailed) to your contacts. Have them do the same. Then you can send and receive encrypted messages that hackers and spies won’t be able to read even if they get your messages.

What about the important files on your computer? Go get TrueCrypt.  It’s free, and you can encrypt anything from your entire computer to important files only.  That way if your computer is ever stolen or hacked, no one will be able to access anything you don’t want them to.

Taking on Google

There was an excellent NYTimes Op-Ed article on the massive problem Google has become: Search, But You May Not Find.  It’s about time something like this was published in the mainstream media.  Never before in history has one company controled the viability of so many others.  Google’s moto was “Don’t do evil”.  They’ve become nearly nothing but evil…and the sad thing is that nearly no one knows it.
