I have NEVER liked wearing shoes and my mother used to make fun of me that my feet were "flat and fat" so that I could paddle water more easily. (I am Hawaiian, but my mother is white, from Texas.) Your "shoe feet" look just like my husband's feet. I have finally convinced him to start wearing sandals and he says his feet feel much better. Do society a favor, and write this into a report or book, so people can really understand the mistakes they are making. High heels aren't exactly the best thing for feet either, and yet there seems to be no end to shoes that basically render women unable to walk. Not to mention the long term effects.
